With the goal of keeping the art and craft of songwriting alive and well in the great state of Texas, the Texas Heritage Songwriters Association has collaborated with Jack Ingram and the ASCAP Foundation to form the TEXAS SONGWRITER U. We are in constant search of the next great songwriter. TxSU is an educational program and songwriting competition which serves to identify the best adult songwriters in Texas, while improving upon the quality and quantity of professional songwriting across our state.

TxSU is an educational program and songwriting competition which serves to identify the best adult songwriters in Texas, while improving upon the quality and quantity of professional songwriting across our state.

TXHSA

Texas songwriters, past and present, reflect in rhythm and rhyme, the essence of our culture; they are the poets of their time and have become the symbolic troubadours of our State.

The mission of the Texas Heritage Songwriters’ Association, in the interest of Texas Cultural preservation, is to honor and celebrate Texas songwriters who have played an important role in defining and interpreting Texas’ distinctive culture.

Human Rights Campaign

As the largest civil rights organization working to achieve equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Americans, the Human Rights Campaign represents a force of more than 1.5 million members and supporters nationwide — all committed to making HRC’s vision a reality. Founded in 1980, HRC advocates on behalf of LGBT Americans, mobilizes grassroots actions in diverse communities, invests strategically to elect fair-minded individuals to office and educates the public about LGBT issues.

Making student created film a reality.

Cinematic Arts Experience was created as a platform to provide up and coming filmmakers with opportunities to develop their talent and appreciation for the art of film and allow students opportunities that may not otherwise be accessible to them through the Orange County Film Festival, Cinelot and the FilmEd Academy.
